Who We Are

Amy Kinney is the founder of Projects by Amy, Inc. She currently serves as the company's lead consultant.

Prior to founding Projects by Amy, she was the Director of After School programs at Erie Neighborhood House where she managed a multi-site program. Her responsibilities included planning and implementing strategic initiatives; recruiting, training, and leading staff; and coaching newly promoted site managers. During her tenure, she applied project management fundamentals to expand the after-school program's capacity by 50% over two years. She acquired the necessary funds by authoring, reviewing, and contributing to grant proposals.

Amy has a long history with training and curriculum management, starting with her first job as a certified bilingual educator for an elementary school in the suburbs of Chicago.

Additionally, Amy is a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) and a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). She has an Executive Education Project Management Certificate from Loyola University. Amy earned her undergraduate degree at Valparaiso University (BS in Education) and received her graduate degree from Western Illinois University (MS Educational & Interdisciplinary Studies). She is bilingual (English/Spanish) and has spent time studying and teaching in Mexico and Guatemala.
